This is a great product. I first tried it and was so impressed. My skin looks radiant, dewy, glowing. It’s very affordable compared to other make ups. This is a complete kit, everything you need–2 foundations, loose powder, bronzer, brushes, eye shadows–to start using it (minus lip color and eye-liner/mascara). The brushes are not the best. I’ve bought 2 kits and the concealer brush handle came off. That is a disappointment. That is why I wouldn’t give the product 5 stars. Still, for the value of the product for this price it is a 5 star product.

I bought this set because someone told me it is the same as Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. It was a good price for all the makeup, but I regretted buying it because it was so shiny, even with the mineral veil. I have dry skin, but when I put it on I look like I have shiny oily skin. My mom has oily skin and when she put it on she looked like a shiny bronze statue. The concealer brush fell apart, and the other brushes leave little brush hairs on my skin. The only thing in the set that I liked was the bronzer. I have fair skin and the bronzer from this set seemed more natural the the warmth color that comes with the Bare Escentual starter kit. I went back to buying Bare Escentuals, even though they’re more expensive it looks more natural. For brushes, I found that Ecotools have the smoothest, highest quality bristles for the best price.

I am writing this for my daughter as we first bought these products in a sample pack at Sephora over a year ago. My daughter has suffered with acne and has some minor scarring, although the acne has since subsided. We (she and I)were looking for something that would cover her complexion, but not be heavy. I used to think the woman on television who says, “this product saved my life,” was pretty corny, but this product is amazing. I can’t tell you how well it is working for my daughter. It looks very natural, but does the job of cover-up. I am thinking about buying it for myself, as I have a mild form of rosacea.

I have used this product for over 5 years, and have always been amazed at how well it works. This foundation goes on beautifully with a B.E. brush and covers without looking overly made up. Pick the right shade and “swirl, tap and buff” as the product claims. A beautiful, finished face!!

I love mineral make up. It is wonderful because it looks great and does not feel like you’re wearing make up. This is my second bare minerals starter kit. I bought the second starter kit because I really like the bare minerals brushes and it is cheaper to buy the kit than the brushes individually. Bare minerals has changed what you receive in the start kit since I first purchased it. I think the old one was better.

The really differences between the two products: the old kit had a Handi Buki Brush when the new kit has Full Flawless Face Brush. I think the Handi buki brush is the better of the two brushes but both do a good job of applying the make up. The second major differences the old kit had small Warmth All-Over Face Color and Glee All-Over Face Color the new kit has a Medium Warmth All-Over Face Color. Again I think the older kit was better. Warmth is a bronzer that gives your skin a natural sun kissed glow. Glee is also a great product, it is a plum shade blush. It gives your skin a touch of natural color as if you have been exercising. Both of these products are great but you need to be careful not to use too much.

Personally without Glee my face ends up looking pale, my face really needs a little bit of color beyond the foundation, warmth and mineral veil. Glee is my absolute favorite bare minerals product. Mineral veil is a great product that is a great finishing product. It gives your face an airbrushed look.

What I do not like about bare minerals is how it sits on top of your pores and makes them look bigger. Unlike the commercials claim you do not look like you are not wearing make up in fact your look like you are wearing tons. It is a natural look but still a make up look.

Frankly, there are better mineral foundations than bare minerals my favorite is E.L.F. (eyes lips & face). It has a great mineral foundation which is better than the bare minerals foundations and a fraction of the price. I like it better because it does not make your pores look bigger. E.L.F. also makes a product called mineral booster which is like mineral veil.

My overall opinion is to buy the starter kit once to get the brushes because mineral make up needs special brushes. Use what come with it and switch to a different foundation and continue using Glee and Warmth.

Mineral make up last longer if you apply a moisturizing before the make up. One trick I have learn to minimizing the appearance of pores under mineral make up is to use a acne moisturizing and let it dry before applying the make up.

Let’s start by saying that in the past few years, since I’ve gotten more an more into natural living, I’ve started wearing less and less makeup. That said, I’m still a girly girl, so I’ve never left home without at least some mascara and a little bronzer.

Unfortunately I’m one of those people whose skin mirrors their stress levels so I’m prone to a degree of breakout and blotchiness when I’m very stressed, don’t sleep enough, etc. This set is good for those days when I feel I need a bit more makeup: the foundation gives pretty good coverage (especially if you use the kabuki brush), Warmth gives the perfect glow on my cheeks and mineral veil is fab to achieve that finished look which I never felt I could achieve, no matter how much or how little makeup I put on and how long I spend doing it.

Basically, with this set you can get a better job done in A LOT less time.

However (and here’s why I gave it 4 stars and not 5) if you don’t like the feeling of makeup on your skin, you probably will be bothered by this, especially as soon as you put it on. I gets better after a few hours but when I’m done putting it on I always feel tempred to wash my face and take it all off again, because I still get that feeling of “help! my skin can’t breathe”.

I think most people will be happy with this; as for those of us who are a bit more sensitive, we’ll have to keep looking, and save this for special occasions.

Note: I haven’t used the lotion included in the package because I’m allergic to salicylic acid so I cannot review that product.

After using Bare Minerals for a Saturday morning and a Sunday morning application I have a horrible sunburn-like dry itchy raw face for 3 days. I previously tried Cover Girl Mineral makeup and had the same reaction, but did not realize the connection until now. Following research online-I discovered that many women suffer this same rash from the Bismuth Oxychloride contained in this product and some other brands like Cover Girl.

For those with Sensitive Skin, I would suggest finding a brand without that ingredient. There are several brands.

I absolutely love this fondation. It feels nice and light and evens my skin tone very nicely. It can’t cover up anything though- I have some small freckles on my cheeks and they fade with the foundation but they don’t completely dissappear, which I have no problem with. It also doesn’t cover up dark circles under eyes very well.

What I love most about this foundation is that I actually seem to break out LESS when I wear it, specially when I wear the mineral veil over the foundation. I’ve been using it for over two years now and I’m still pleased with its quality.

A side note: I have pretty normal skin, I barely break out. My skin used to get pretty oily on my forehead (which has stopped since I’ve been wearing this foundation) and some portions of my face would dry out (which also rarely happens now).

There are 4 brushes in this set. I love them all. The mineral powder brush and the mini kabuki brush are perfect for flawless application of powdered mineral makeup. I have used both the shadow and concealer brushes to apply eye shadow. They work great too. These brushes are very soft and luxurious feeling. And they are very well constructed. I’ve experienced no shedding.

I own a lot of makeup brushes including some very high end professional quality brushes. These brushes have not disappointed. They are so much better than the brushes that are sold by Bare Minerals.

I just used these brushes for the first time with my mineral makeup after using sable brushes from BE for years. (Just found out what sable is and it is not ok…) They are amazing, so soft, I didn’t want to stop putting my makeup on, they felt so good! I got this stuff in “Bisque” and “Summer Bisque” when I couldn’t find my usual shade in the regular colour section (of Bare Minerals) at a Sephora store. I was amazed at just how multi-tasking they can be! You can go from semi-sheer to completely concealed, just by what brush you use and how you blend (or don’t). Zits & circles are banished, while the other glowing features of your face are shown off to their best advantage! Wow. Not to mention, since I’ve used this particular product, people constantly stop me to ask what I do to keep my skin so perfect! Ha! If they only knew what I can hide while simultaniously showing off my better areas! Speaking on the damage control front, you also aren’t clogging up your pores with this product (or the other stuff Bare Minerals makes…although I don’t care for their lip gloss or lipstick…too heavy/gloppy/thick/messy) so less “damage control” no matter what your age!

I use the original Bisque and have discovered I can’t live without it. I use it as a concealer, a fondation and an eyeshadow. I’m 65 and was told by a Sephora rep that I shouldn’t use it, the product line was for a much younger person. I fell for this and bought very expensive paste foundation and looked like a made-up doll. I went out on my on and played with Bare Escentuals until I found all the colors that help me look my best. My husband tells me that I don’t look like I wear any makeup but I look fantantic! Believe me, when I don’t wear Bare Escentuals I look my age, with it, I feel really good about myself. Isn’t that what it’s all about?

It feels really gritty and dirty on my face so that was a big down side for me. its probably slightly overpriced for the actual product. It does a good job of mattifying … maybe to good lol . I like the brush it comes with because it picks up makeup pretty well unlike my other brush that is soooo soft that I like it more for the feel than for the actual application .

I ordered this product and am doing this “product review” based on my Girlfriend’s taste and vast experience with this product. To sum it up, She swears by the Bare Minerals/Escentuals brand, enough so, that until “I” started to order this particular product for Her, we would actually plan a day around Her needing make-up (foundation). A day you ask? Yes. We would literally drive 93 miles to the closest make-up vendor of the Bare Minerals/Escentuals line. At a cost of .50 for (.3oz/ 9g) of medium tan foundation (SPF 15 sunscreen) plus tax, fuel, time and of course lunch and “since-we’re-already-here” shopping, my wallet, my car and myself dreaded these day-outings to prove brand loyalty. After a few months (of living hand-to-mouth, scraping by on “baking-soda and green-bread sandwiches”), I finally decided enough was enough. In fear of Her “make-up” turning into “war-paint”, I looked up the Bare Minerals/Escentuals Foundations on Amazon.com and was overwhelmed to find the EXACT product for……….98. Tax, title, license, shipping & handling and delivered to our front-door! And to top it off, the seller, (FlawlessBeautyCare), sent it so quickly, it arrived in a few days!!! Not just once, or twice mind you, ALL three times I have ordered!!! We are truly happy with this arrangement because now that frees me up for an extra day of “Honey-Do’s” (a list of chores She gives me for the week). My GirlFriend, my car, my wallet, my dog and myself, would like to thank Bare Minerals/Escentuals for their fine product, FlawlessBeautyCare for offering it at such an affordable price and for excellent service. And most of all, Amazon.com. Because without you all, I would have been about 100 miles away from home today, carrying my GirlFriends purse at some mall, and hemorrhaging more money than I made all week!
